Welcome To Public diplomacy and world expos
Public diplomacy and World Expos are specialized fields where International Relations intersects a variety of other scientific disciplines. I study World Expos since 1997 and public diplomacy since 2005. This website is my contribution to a better understanding of both fields.

Public Diplomacy
Public diplomacy is the communication of a sovereign polity, through duly accredited representatives, with private persons subject to the permanent jurisdiction of another sovereign polity.
Public Diplomacy has been practiced for centuries, but only until 1965 it formally entered the academic world. Currently, there is much confusion among scholars and practitioners about what public diplomacy means.
World Expos
World Expos are international mega-events that involve the official participation of national governments and whose main purpose is the education of the public.
Since the first World Expo in 1851, there have been about 65 of these mega-events in America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Expo 2020 Dubai and Expo 2025 Osaka are scheduled.
